Garima Kohli

(she/her)

Garima is a Master's Student in the Neurobiology program at Boston University.

Garima completed her B.S. in Plant Sciences from Punjab Agricultural University in India, where she received a National Talent Scholarship. As an undergraduate, Garima conducted research on insect biology and behavior. She focused on the efficacy of biocontrol agents in managing cabbage pests, including Coccinellids, Chrysoperla species, and Zygogramma species. Garima then received an M.S. in Entomology from the University of Florida, where she researched the biology and behavioral ecology of the pepper weevil, Anthonomus eugenii. She characterized infestation patterns across distinct pepper cultivars. Garima also studied a parasitoid of the pepper weevil, Catolaccus hunteri, assessing its effectiveness as a biocontrol agent in both greenhouse and field settings. As a graduate student, she chaired the Corteva Agriscience symposium. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and playing badminton. Garima joined the Younger lab as a Master’s student in 2023.
