Yifan Wang, PhD

Yifan received his undergraduate degree in Plant Conservation from Qingdao Agricultural University. He then obtained both a Master’s degree and a PhD in Entomology from Auburn University, where he conducted research in the laboratory of Dr. Nannan Liu. His work characterized insecticide resistance across mosquito populations in Alabama. As a Master’s student Yifan received the Luther L. Farrar-George D. Bauersfeld Endowment Award in 2017 and the Outstanding PhD Award in 2022 from the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology at Auburn University. Yifan joined the Younger lab in 2023 as a Postdoctoral Associate.
